Commentary on “37 Bodhisattva Practices” – Dr. Berzin

Bodhisattvas are those who strive to attain enlightenment in order to be of best help to everyone. In this short poem, the 14th-century Tibetan master, Togme Zangpo, outlines 37 practices such persons adopt to reach that goal. Even those who do not share such a lofty aim can learn to deal with life’s problems and help others better by following these methods. This lecture correlates this poetic formulation of the bodhisattva path with the steps of the graded path to enlightenment.
