Preliminaries

Instantaneously I arise as a Kalachakra, Cycles of Time, with enlightening body blue in color, one face, two arms, holding diamond-strong scepter and bell, and standing with my right leg outstretched.

Consecrating the Inner Offering

OM A: HUM HO HAM KSHA:

OM SVABHAVA SHUDDHA: SARVA DHARMA: SVABHAVA SHUDDHO 'HAM

Everything becomes devoid of fantasized ways of existing.

Within a state of this total absence, from YAM comes a symbolic disc of wind, black, the shape of a bow, marked with victory banners, on top of which from RAM comes a disc of fire, red, triangular and marked with blazing flames. On this from A: comes a grate of three moist human heads, on top of which from OM comes a skullcup, with a single fissure, white on the outside, red on the inside, in the middle of which on a lotus, red with eight petals, from A I RI U LI and LII UU RII II AA, come the five nectars defying the demons and the five fleshes, marked with these letters once more.

The light rays of the HUM at my heart rouse the wind to blow, the fire to blaze, the ingredients in the skullcup to melt and boil.

On the palms of my left, then my right, then both hands in common and then in their center, resting on a moon, then a sun, then a "growler" Rahu, then a Kalagni "fire-of-time" eclipsing planet, are an OM, then and A:, then a HUM, then a HO, from which light rays beam out.

From the hearts of every Diamond-Strong Enlightening Body, then Speech, then Mind and then Deep Awareness, they hook back in the demon-defying nectars of deep awareness which, by merging into one with these nectars that are here to bond me close, purify them of their stains, then increase them to abundance, endowing them with a tantalizing flavor, then make them blaze with radiance and then transform them into the nectars of deep awareness unassociated with any confusion.

Consecrating the Outer Offering

OM A: HUM HO HAM KSHA:

OM SHUNYATA JNANA VAJRA SVABHAVA ATMAKO 'HAM

Everything become utterly devoid of fantasized ways of existing.

Within a state of this total absence, from SPHAMs come bowls of precious crystal, broad and expansive, inside of which, from the melting of the initial syllable of their names, adorned with a nasal suffix-dot, come the items for offering and the divine offering maidens. By self-nature they are a total absence and a great blissful awareness, in aspect items for offering and divine offering maidens, and their function is, as objects to be enjoyed by the six senses, to enhance a distinguished blissful awareness unassociated with any confusion.

OM PADYAM (... PROKSHANAM, ANCHAMANAM, VAJRA GANDHAM, VAJRA PUSHPAM, VAJRA DHUPAM, VAJRA DIPAM, VAJRA AKSHATAM, VAJRA NAIVIDYAM, VAJRA LASYEM, VAJRA HASYEM, VAJRA VADYEM, VAJRA NRITYEM, VAJRA GITYEM, VAJRA KAMEM …) A: HUM SVAHA

Abbreviated Circle of Protection

OM A: HUM HO HAM KSHA:, PRAJNOPAYA ATMAKA, KAYA VAK CHITTA JNANA ADHIPATE, MAMA KAYA VAK CHITTA JNANA VAJRAM VAJRA AMRITA SVABHAVAM KURU KURU, SKANDHA DHATU AYATANAM NI:SVABHAVAM SVAHA

At the crown of my head, a VAM transforms to become the symbolic disc of a diamond-strong moon in its full sixteen parts. This purges my body three times from the crown of my head to the tip of my toes, like a snake's shedding its skin, so that my body turns white like the symbolic disc of the moon.

OM SVABHAVA SHUDDHA: SARVA DHARMA: SVABHAVA SHUDDHO 'HAM

At my forehead, on the white symbolic disc of a moon, from a white OM comes a white diamond-strong scepter with 17 spokes. At my throat, on the red disc of a sun, from a red A: comes a red scepter with 33 spokes. At my heart, on the black disc of a "growler" eclipsing planet, from a black HUM comes a black scepter with nine spokes. At my navel, on the yellow disc of a "fire-of-time" eclipsing planet, from a yellow HO: comes a yellow scepter with 65 spokes. At the crown of my head, on a green disc of space, from a green HAM comes a green scepter with five spokes. At my pubic region, on a blue disc of deep awareness, from a blue KSHA: comes a blue scepter with 33 spokes. From these diamond-strong scepters, rays of light, blazing diamond-strong, beam out in the ten directions. I come to have a diamond-strong body, and the hordes of demonic forces and hindrances are decisively burnt off.

Building Up a Bountiful Store of Positive Potential

Instantaneously, I turn clear as a Cycles of Time, one who has overcome and gained all, with one face and two arms. In my heart, from a PAM comes a lotus, red with eight petals, on the corolla of which, from AM comes the symbolic disc of a moon, on top of which, from HUM, comes a five-spoked diamond-strong scepter. From it light rays beams out and invite to the expanse of the space before me all triumphant ones, with their spiritual offspring, in the aspect of a symbolic round world of Cycles of Time, one who has overcome and gained all.

I bow to the lotus feet of you by whose kindness I can attain in an instant an abiding state of great blissful awareness, my sublime gem-like teacher, possessor of everything diamond-strong.

I prostrate to you with an identity nature of a total absence and a compassionate, sympathetic heart – you who neither take birth in the three planes of compulsive existence nor perish away; you whose enlightening corpus has as one, a way of knowing and what is known, O all-around perfect Cycles of Time.

Divine offering maidens emanated from my heart present you with offerings.

Everything negative I have ever done, urged others to do or in which I have rejoiced, from beginningless time up until now, out of attachment, hostility or closed-minded ignorance, I openly admit to their having been wrong, each and every one.

With manifest joy I rejoice in the massive store of constructive deeds of the totally clear and evolved, of the spiritual heroes expanding their hearts and of the highly realized, and in everything constructive done by anyone else.

For those beings tormented by the illnesses of their disturbing attitudes, I request you set flow rounds of transmission of the preventive measures that are a demon-defying nectar, a diamond-strong vehicle of mind, in order to heal them into a state of blissful awareness.

I beseech you to rid yourself, please, of the wish to pass beyond sorrow because of others' still bringing upon themselves problems that uncontrollably recur due to their lack of realization, and to remain with us then, for endless eons, in a manner that will bring them to make their bewilderment extinct and purify themselves of whatever uncontrollably recurs.

To the clear evolved and the master from whom I have received supreme empowerment, to the preventive measures of inseparable method and awareness shown by them and to the two divisions of the intent community who live by them, I pure-heartedly go for safe direction.

To my sublime teacher, the clear evolved and their spiritual offspring, I offer myself in every aspect and request you safeguard me as your attendant and servant, O holy objects for oblation.

I dedicate the bountiful store of my constructive actions of the three times, never tainting it with my selfish aims' stains, as a cause for all beings with limited minds of the three planes of compulsive existence, without an exception, to achieve clear evolvement.

From this time forth, all the way to my total purification and growth, I expand my heart out to all others and to that purified growth. I generate a pure resolve and rid myself of grasping for "me" and "mine."

By those in this bountiful field for spiritual growth dissolving into me, I become inspired.

Building Up a Bountiful Store of Deep Awareness

With functional phenomena non-existent, there is no building up of a beneficial habit of the mind;

And building up something is not in the nature of building up a beneficial habit of the mind.

Functional phenomena like that cannot become what are functional phenomena:

Building up a beneficial habit is to be not aimed.

The water element in my body dampens the fire. Earth, parted from fire, dissolves into water. The water is dried up by wind. Wind dissolves into consciousness and consciousness dissolves into space. Stilled like this beyond all fantasies, without exception, that illuminate discordantly environments and their beings built up from atoms, I come to the object – a total absence of fantasized ways of existing – and what has this object – a deep awareness – these as inseparable, the essential nature of the four gateways to full liberation.

OM SHUNYATA JNANA VAJRA SVABHAVA ATMAKO 'HAM

Supreme Triumphant Symbolic Round World

Generation

Within the origin of all measures, the endless element of space, from YAM comes a symbolic disc of wind, black with the shape of a bow, 400,000 ancient miles in breadth and marked with victory banners. On top of it, from RAM comes a disc of fire, red, triangular, 300,000 ancient miles in breadth and marked with the auspicious. On top of it, from VAM comes a disc of water, white, circular, 200,000 ancient miles in breadth and marked with lotus. On top of it, from LAM comes a disc of earth, yellow, square, 100,000 ancient miles in breadth and marked with diamond-strong scepter. Each of these four symbolic discs have, arising from HUMs two crossed diamond-strong scepters, one above and one below. On top of all this, from MAM comes a great Core Mountain Meru, diamond-strong by self-nature, at its bottom 16,000 ancient miles in breadth and at its top 50,000 ancient miles. In the center of it, from KSHAM comes a variegated lotus, equal to half the breadth of the top of Core Mountain, with a corolla that is one-third of this. On top of it, from HAM comes a moon; from an aspirant suffix-colon a sun; and from a nasal suffix-dot, together with a nada sonorous squiggle, the symbolic discs of a "growler" and "fire-of-time" eclipsing planets, equal to the corolla of the lotus. All of these mix into one from which comes the syllable HKSHMLVRYAM.

Once again from these individual letters arise the complete space, wind, fire, water, earth and core mountain, together with the lotus, moon, sun, "growler" and "fire-of-time" planet seats, on top of which from HUM comes a diamond-strong tent. Inside of it, from OM, comes a palace exquisite beyond measure, square with four doorways together with four archways in the nature of gold and sparkling with the light rays of gems. It has walls that are three layers thick, from the outside, in order, black, red and white. On top of them is a molding of jewels, resting on which is a quadruple colonnade, the outside face of which is draped with a filigree lattice of strands and strings. Possessing all classic features such as eaves beautified with hanging pendants, a parapet and so forth, this palace exquisite beyond measure is, on top and bottom, black in the east, red in the south, white in the north, yellow in the west and blue in the center. In the middle of it, from OM comes a lotus, green, with eight petals, on the corolla of which from AM comes the symbolic disc of a moon, from A: of a sun and from A of the "growler" and "fire-of-time" eclipsing planets.

On top of this central moon, sun, "growler" and "fire-of-time" planets, comes a symbolic disc of a moon marked with 32 vowels resting on this moon, in the nature of the 32 signs – mirror-like deep awareness. Beneath that comes a symbolic disc of a sun marked with 80 consonants resting on this sun, in the nature of the 80 exemplary features – the deep awareness of the equality of things. In the center of the moon come a syllable HUM, like what is marked with a rabbit, as the consciousness of the one sustained on fragrance – the deep awareness of the individuality of things – and a black syllable HI as the life-sustaining energy-wind that is the mount of that consciousness and co-arising with it – the deep awareness to accomplish tasks. The moon, the sun, the vowels and consonants, which are in the nature of the white and red expanding hearts, mix into one with the syllables that are the consciousness and the energy-wind, and from this arises the syllable HAM, a great blissful awareness – the deep awareness of the sphere of the reality of things.

As this syllable HAM itself, I transform into an all-around perfect Cycles of Time, with an enlightening form that in every aspect has an identity-nature of blissful awareness, beaming with the five types of rays of stainless light. My enlightening body is blue in color, and I have three necks, the central one black, the right one red and the left one white. My main face is black, forceful, with fangs bared; my right face red and is full of desire; my hind face is yellow and settled into absorbed concentration; and my left face is white, serenely stilled and totally at peace. Each of my faces has three eyes and on the crowing bun of the locks of my hair is a crossed diamond-strong scepter and a crescent moon.

I have a (blue) Vajrasattva, a Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind, adorning my head. I have a diamond-strong gem, diamond-strong earrings, a diamond-strong necklace, diamond-strong bracelets, a diamond-strong belt with a filigree skirt, diamond-strong anklets, diamond-strong draping scarf, a garland of diamond-strong scepters and a tiger-skin wrap-around loose from my hips. I have six collarbones, the first pair of which, on the right and the left, are blue, the second red and the third white; twelve shoulders, the first two pairs of which, on the right and the left, are blue, the second two red and the third two white; and twenty-four arms, the first four pairs of which are blue, the second four red and the third four white. The thumbs of each of my hands are yellow, the index-fingers white, middle-fingers red, the ring-fingers black and little-fingers green, while the initial garland of segments between the joints of my fingers is black, the second red and the third is white. These are beautified with rings and beaming with light.

Of my four black hands on the right, in the first is a diamond-strong scepter, in the second a sword, in the third a trident, in the fourth a cleaver. Of my four red hands, in the first is fire arrows, in the second a diamond-strong hook, in the third a damaru hand-drum replete with its sound, and in the fourth a hammer. Of my four white hands, in the first is a wheel, in the second a spear, in the third a staff, and in the fourth an axe. Of my four black hands on the left, in the first is a diamond-strong bell, in the second a shield, in the third a khatvanga symbolic "couch-leg" staff in spread-out aspect, and in the fourth a skullcup full of blood. Of my four red hands, in the first is a bow, in the second a diamond-strong lasso, in the third a gem, and in the fourth a white lotus. Of my four white hands, in the first is a conch, in the second a mirror, in the third a diamond-strong iron chain, and in the fourth a four-faced head of Brahma, a Fastidious First. These are arrayed on the lotus of my hands.

Standing atop a moon, a sun, a "growler" and a "fire-of-time" planet, most playfully with my right leg outstretched, my right leg is red and has underneath it a red Kamadeva, Deity of Desire, with one face and four arms, holding in his hands five flower-arrows and a bow, a lasso and a hook. Under my white left leg is a white Rudra the Forceful , with one face, three eyes and four arms, holding in his hands a trident and hand-drum, a skullcup and symbolic "couch-leg" staff. The divine maidens of this Demonic Mara and the Forceful One, namely Rati the Joyful and Uma, O Don't, hold on to the soles of my feet with their faces bowed down.

Assuming Extremely Pure Self-Esteem

OM SU-VISHUDDHA DHARMA-DHATU SVABHAVA ATMAKO 'HAM.

Supreme Triumphant Actions

At my forehead is an OM as diamond-strong enlightening body, at my throat an A: as diamond-strong enlightening speech, at my heart a HUM as diamond-strong enlightening mind, and inside my avadhuti, my central "shaken-off" channel, at both my crown protrusion and navel are HO:'s. With the blazing of the fire of tummo, the "inner fiery lass," of the syllable HO at my navel, I remain in the nature of a great blissful awareness.

Joining the Beings for Deep Awareness

From a HUM at my heart, then a diamond-strong scepter, arises a Vajra-vega, Diamond-Strong Strength, with a terrifying body of blue rays of light, standing on a chariot of an eight-limbed one. He emanates forth simultaneously with my exhaled breath and latches on with his hook to the navel of the principal figure for deep awareness who is similar to the one I have been building up as a good habit of mind. With his twenty-four hands, he binds him with his snake-lasso and, frightening him with his remaining weapons, invites him here to the space in front. Then Diamond-Strong Strength dissolves into my heart.

GANDHAM PUSHPAM, DHUPAM DIPAM, AKSHATAM NAIVIDYAM, LASYAM HASYEM, VADYEM NRITYEM, GITYEM KAMEM PUJAM KURU KURU SVAHA.

VAJRA BHAIRAVA AKARSHAYA JA:

JA: HUM BAM HO: HI.

The deep awareness one becomes of equal taste to him who is here to bond me close.

Receiving Empowerment and Seals

Once more from the HUM at my heart light rays invite here empowering deities.

GANDHAM PUSHPAM, DHUPAM DIPAM, AKSHATAM NAIVIDYAM, LASYEM HASYEM, VADYEM NRITYEM, GITYEM KAMEM PUJAM KURU KURU SVAHA.

"I request you to confer empowerment ahead."

Requested like this, they confer empowerment with the seven empowerments, saying, "OM SARVA TATHA-GATA SAPTA ABHI-SHEKETA SAMAYA SHRIYE HUM."

I become sealed with a (green) Imperturbable Akshobhya in the aspect of a corpus of supreme emanations.

Consecrating Body, Speech, and Mind

At my forehead, on top of a symbolic disc of a moon, from an OM, then a wheel, comes a white Diamond-Strong Enlightening Body; at my throat, on top of a symbolic disc of a sun, from an A:, then a lotus, comes a red Diamond-Strong Enlightening Speech; and at my heart, on top of a symbolic disc of a "growler" eclipsing planet, from a HUM, then a diamond-strong scepter, comes a black Diamond-Strong Enlightening Mind. They emanate out replicas of themselves and their ladies of discriminating awareness, filling the sky. At my discriminating lady's navel is a HO:, at her pubic region a SVA and at the crown of her head a HA. From these syllables as well are emanated hosts of deities of the Three Diamond-Strong, filling the sky. The Three Diamond-Strong show preventive measures to limited beings needing to be tamed, then return once more and remain before me.

"I request you confer the empowerment ahead of the holders of everything diamond-strong of enlightening body, speech and mind."

Requested like this, divine maidens of the families of the Three Diamond-Strong, with vases of demon-defying nectars, confer empowerment, saying, "OM A I RI U LI PANCHA DHATU VISHODHANI SVAHA."

Having given ablution, they infuse the Three Diamond-Strong at my own three places and those of my lady of discriminating awareness.

"O Holder of the Three Diamond-Strong who possesses what is all-around perfect, by my building up as a good habit the three unshatterable diamond-strong ones, make me a holder of the three diamond-strong and cause me, right now, to remain inspired.

"O Clear Evolved Ones abiding in the ten directions, by my building up as a good habit the three unshatterable diamond-strong ones, make me a holder of the three diamond-strong and cause me, right now, to remain inspired."

My own and my lady of discriminating awareness's body, speech and mind become of equal taste with the Three Diamond-Strong.

OM SARVA TATHAGATA KAYA VAK CHITTA SVABHAVA ATMAKO 'HAM.

Being Mindful of the Purifications

Through the purification of time, I become an all-around perfect possessor of everything diamond-strong, a ruler of humanity, with the divisions of years, months and so on. As the aspect of enlightening mind, then, being the sun, and the Mother of Diversity being in terms of the individual solar days that are not that, this is their total purification. Through the purification of the energy-winds, there are those who abide on the circle of the channels at the lotus of my heart, like the Smokey Lady and so on. Through that of the disturbing attitudes, there is the Forceful One, together with his wife, under the feet of me as the ruler of what pervades everywhere, and through that of the hordes of demonic forces, there is the Demonic One.

The Integrating Practice of the Drop

At the top of my head comes an OM, at my throat an A:, at my heart a HUM, at my navel a HO:, at my pubic region a HAM and at the crown of my head a HA:. The hole of my diamond-strong scepter is stopped with a PHAT.

HUM. By my being absorbed in a balanced union with self-esteem as a holder of everything diamond-strong, the fire of my "inner fiery lass," like stainless lightning, at the syllable HO: at my navel, being roused by my downward- voiding wind, blazes up through the path of my central "shaken-off" channel and, with its light rays, scorches the five symbolic rounds of wind that, in the nature of my five aggregate factors, fall in my left "lolling" channel, and the five symbolic rounds of wind that, in the nature of my five elemental sources, such as the Lady of Eyes and so on, fall in my right "savoring" channel. It immobilizes them so that the sensors of my eyes and so forth are no longer involved with their objects. Being merely touched by these rays of light, the syllable HAM at the crown of my head melts like that which possesses a rabbit and, in the form of a drop, when it reaches from my crown to my throat – joy. When it reaches from my throat to my heart - supreme joy. When it reaches from my heart to my navel – distinguished joy. When it reaches from my navel to the tip of the gem of my diamond- strong scepter and is stopped by the syllable PHAT, I experience co-arising joy with its not being shifted outside.

The Integrating Practice of the Subtle

Then once more this very drop proceeds as it did when it came before. From my private place it proceeds to my navel in the manner of a result similar to its cause – joy. From my navel it proceeds to my heart in the manner of a result that has ripened – supreme joy. From my heart it proceeds to my throat in the manner of a man-made result – distinguished joy. From my throat it proceeds to my forehead in the manner of a result that is a parting, so that I experience co-arising joy.

OM SARVA TATHA-GATA ANU-RAGANA VAJRA SVABHAVA ATMAKO 'HAM.

OM SARVA TATHA-GATA ADHI-PATI VAJRA-SATTVA HAM, DUR-DANTA DAMAKA HUM HUM PHAT SVAHA.

Repetition of the Syllables to Protect the Mind

At my heart, from my own seed-syllable, encircled by my mind-protecting syllables to be repeated, are emanated forth a host of deities of my symbolic world. They do what is of meaningful benefit for wandering beings and then again, simultaneously with the winds that enter inside me, gather back into the syllable at my heart, thus enacting the enlightening deeds of emanating forth and gathering back in.

I bow to you who give the supreme as the supreme diamond-strong;
I bow to you who become the perfect endpoint;

I bow to you, the purified growth of the clear evolved.

I bow to you who delight in the clear evolved;
