Consecrating the Diamond-Strong Scepter and Bell

OM A: HUM HO HAM KSHA:

OM SHUNYATA JNANA VAJRA SVABHAVA ATMAKO 'HAM

Everything becomes utterly devoid of fantasized ways of existing.

Within a state of this total absence, the diamond-strong scepter arises as a HUM, then a diamond-strong scepter, then as a Vajrasattva, a Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind, blue with three faces – blue, red and white – and six arms, holding in his three right hands a diamond-strong scepter, a cleaver and axe, and in his three left ones a diamond-strong bell, a skullcup and a head of a Brahma, a Fastidious First, and embraced by a green Vajradhatu Ishvari, a Lady with a Wealth and Control over the Diamond-Strong Sphere, who is like Akshobhya, the Imperturbable One.

The bell arises as an A:, then a cleaver, then as a Mother of Diversity, blue, just like a Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind, and embraced by an Imperturbable One, green with three faces – green, red and white – and six arms, holding in his three right hands a diamond-strong scepter, a cleaver and axe, and in his three left ones a diamond-strong bell, a skullcup and a head of a Fastidious First.

At all of their foreheads is an OM, at their throats an A:, at their hearts a HUM and at their navels a HO:.

Light rays from the HUM at my heart beam out, inviting here those for deep awareness who are similar to these I have been building up as a good habit of mind. Ja: hum bam ho: hi. These who are here to bond me close and those for deep awareness become of equal taste.

Once again, light beams out from the HUM at my heart and the invited enlightening mothers confer empowerment with the waters of nectars defying the demons, while saying, "OM A I RI U LI PANCHA DHATU VISHODHANI SVAHA." The Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind becomes sealed with an Imperturbable One, and the Mother of Diversity with a Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind.

GANDHAM PUSHPAM, DHUPAM DIPAM, AKSHATAM NAIVIDYEM, LASYEM HASYEM, VADYEM NRITYEM, GITYEM KAMEM PUJAM KURU KURU SVAHA

The fathers and mothers absorb themselves in a balanced union and, from melting into the nature of great desire, they arise, transformed once more as the diamond-strong scepter and bell.

The spiritual hero whose mind is without beginning or end is the Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind, the one of great joy, the identity nature of the Totally Excellent Samantabhadra, the identity of the ruler of the Lady with Diamond-Strong Elegant Bearing.

By nature, compulsive existence is pure, and by this nature I can be parted from compulsive existence. Thus by having a mind by self-nature pure, I can make my compulsive existence be hallowed.

Consecrating the Outer Offerings

Offering a Round Symbol of a World System

Building Up as a Good Habit and Repeating the Syllables of the Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind

To the clear evolved and the master from whom ... [as in Abbreviated Single-Deity Kalachakra Sadhana – 1985 Translation, Building Up a Bountiful Store of Positive Potential] ... "me" and "mine."

At the crown of my head comes a lotus, white with eight petals, at the corolla of which, from a RAM, comes a symbolic round disc of a sun, on top of which, from a KSHA:, then a diamond-strong scepter, comes a Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind, blue, with three faces – blue, red and white – and six arms, holding in his three right hands a diamond-strong scepter, a cleaver and axe, and in his three left ones a diamond-strong bell, a skullcup and a head of a Fastidious First. He is embraced by, arising from an A:, then a diamond-strong scepter, a Lady with a Wealth and Control over the Diamond-Strong Sphere, green, with three faces – green, red and white – and six arms, holding in her three right hands a diamond-strong scepter, a cleaver and axe, and in her three left ones a diamond-strong bell, a skullcup and a head of a Fastidious First. At their foreheads is an OM, at their throats an A:, at their hearts a HUM and at their navels a HO:.

Light rays from the HUM at my heart beam out, inviting here from their natural abode those for deep awareness who are similar to these I have been building up as a good habit of mind. JA: HUM BAM HO: HI. They become of equal taste.

Once again, the light rays of the HUM at my heart invite the enlightening mothers who confer them empowerment through the crown of their heads with the waters of nectars defying the demons, while saying, "OM A I RI U LI PANCA DHATU VISHODHANI SVAHA." The father becomes sealed with an Imperturbable One, and the mother with a Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind.

GANDHAM PUSHPAM, DHUPAM DIPAM, SKAHATAM, NAIVIDYEM, LASYEM HASYEM, VADYEM NRITYEM, GITYEM KAMEM PUJAM KURU KURU SVAHA

"O Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind, you who have overcome and gained all, I request you to purify me and all beings with limited minds of all our negative potentials, obscurations and weakened and broken close bonds with the practice."

Having been thus requested, they beam out light rays from the HUMs at their hearts, which purify all beings with limited minds of their negative potentials and obscurations and present the clear evolved and their spiritual offering with offerings that please them. By gathering back all their qualities and skills in the aspect of light, and dissolving them into the HUMs at their hearts, they make their brilliance, power and strength be even more splendid.

OM VAJRA-SATTVA SAMAYA MANU-PALAYA, VAJRA-SATTVA TVENO PATISHTA, DRIDHO ME BHAVA, SU-TOSHYO ME BHAVA, SU-POSHYO ME BHAVA, ANU-RAKTO ME BHAVA, SARVA SIDDHIM ME PRA-YACHCHHA, SARVA KARMA SUCHHA ME, CHITTAM SHRIYAM KURU HUM, HA HA HA HA HO: BHAGAVAN, SARVA TATHA-GATA VAJRA, MA ME MUNCHA, VAJRI-BHAVA, MAHA SAMAYA-SATTVA, A: HUM PHAT. "Out of unknowing and bewilderment, I have acted counter to my close bonds with the practice and caused them to weaken. O sublime teacher, my guiding light, provide me with a safe direction. O principal holder of the diamond-strong, you with an identity nature of a great compassionate heart of sympathy, I take safe direction from you, O principal one for us who wander."

Having been thus requested, the Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind says from his enlightening lips, "O child of the family, you are purified now of all your negative potentials, obscurations and weakened and broken close bonds with the practice." By his then dissolving into me, my three channels of expression become indivisible from the enlightening body, speech and mind of a Spiritual Hero with Diamond-Strong Mind.

The cause, result, nature and action of all measure of phenomena are totally devoid of being established as finable in terms of their own defining characteristics.

Supreme Triumphant Symbolic Round World

Generation of the Symbolic Round World

Within the origin of all measures, the endless element of space, from YAM comes a symbolic round disc of wind, black, with the aspect of a bow in its center, and 400,000 ancient miles straight across, with, arising from HUM's on top and below, two crossed diamond-strong scepters, and marked with banners. On top of it, from RAM comes a symbolic round disc of fire, red, with a triangle, and 300,000 ancient miles in breadth, with, arising from HUM's on top and below, two diamond-strong scepters, and marked with the auspicious. On top of it, from VAM comes a symbolic round disc of water, white, with a circle, and 200,000 ancient miles in breadth, with, arising from HUM's on top and below, two crossed diamond-strong scepter, and marked with lotus. On top of it, from LAM comes a symbolic round disc of earth, yellow, with a square, and 100,000 ancient miles in breadth, with, arising from HUM's on top and below, two crossed diamond-strong scepters, and marked with diamond-strong scepter. On top of it, from MAM comes a great core mountain, Meru, with a self-nature of diamond-strong scepter, at its bottom 16,000 ancient miles in breadth and at its top 50,000 ancient miles. In the center of it, from KSHAM comes a variegated lotus, equal to half the breadth of the top of core mountain, with a corolla that is one-third of this. On top of it, from HAM comes a moon, from an aspirant suffix-colon a sun, from a nasal suffix-dot, together with a nada sonorous squiggle, symbolic discs of "growler" and "fire-of-time" eclipsing planets, equal to the corolla of the lotus. All of these mix into one, from which comes the syllable HKSHMLVRYAM.

Once again from these individual letters arise the complete space, wind, fire, water, earth and core mountain, together with the lotus, moon, sun, "growler" and "fire-of-time" planet seats, on top of which from HUM comes a diamond-strong tent. Inside of it, from BHRUM comes a symbolic world of enlightening mind, sparkling with the light rays of gems. It has walls that are five layers thick, from the outside, in order, yellow, white, red, black and green. It is square, with four doorways, together with four archways in the nature of gems and gold. Each archway frieze has three levels, each of which has, between four pillars, three places for divine maidens to stand. Holding aloft the segments above, on the first level are lions treading on the heads of elephants, and on the middle and top ones shala-bhanjika strongmen. At the ends of each segment are hoisted victory banners, while yaktail fans, mirrors, bells and white pennants hang down. On their tops they have a harmi-style pagoda roof, in the center of the peaks of which are a vase with a victory banner to its right and left. The bottoms of their pillars are set in a surrounding "madness protection" support. In the center of the lower level of the archway friezes, in the eastern one, from a HUM comes a black wheel of the protective measures, with a male and female mountain deer to its right and left. In the southern one, from an A: comes a red magnificent vase, with a conch and lotus to its right and left. In the northern one, from an OM comes a white great drum, with a staff and hammer to its right and left. In the western one, from a HO comes a yellow tree of purified growth, with a male and female "something-or-other-somewhat-human" to its right and left.

On top of the walls is a molding of jewels, red in foundation, and studded with gems that are triangular, rectangular, and so on. From above the molding on up, hanging from the mouths of sea serpent gargoyles, over the outside face of a quadruple colonnade, is a filigree lattice of strands and strings, adorned with mirrors and yaktail fans, bells, crescent moons, flower garlands and so forth. Over the outside of their faces are pendants of jewels hanging from eaves, on top of which is a parapet of dentils in the shape of the half-petals of lotuses, beautified with victory banners and pennants flown from it. Surrounding the walls on their outside lies a ledge for desirable objects, white and in the aspect of a flanking stoop. On its corners outside the doorways and the hallway-sides are crescent moons adorned with a diamond-strong scepter and a gem. Its four root corners on the outside of the walls are adorned with crossed diamond-strong scepters. Inside the walls is a ledge for the deities, white and not quite touching the walls, and with a roof above it.

With half the measure of this symbolic world is a circle for deep awareness, square and surrounded with a green garland ledge of diamond-strong scepters. This has sixteen black pillars, four on each side, with those in the east marked with black swords, those in the south with red gems, those in the north with white lotuses and those in the west with yellow wheels. Within it, at half its measurement, is an encircling black garland ledge of diamond-strong scepters, in the center of which, from OM comes a lotus, green with eight petals, on the corolla of which, from AM comes the symbolic disc of a moon, from A: of a sun and from A of a "growler" and "fire-of-time" eclipsing planets. At the places for the four transformed ones, six spiritual heroes expanding their hearts, Lady Diamond- Strong Sounds and Lady Diamond-Strong Sphere of Reality, and at the southern doorway, the western doorway and on top and below, from OM come white lotuses, at the corollas of which from RAM come a symbolic round disc of a sun on each. At the places for the four transformed ladies, the four spiritual heroines expanding their hearts, and at the eastern doorway and northern doorway, from OM come red lotuses, at the corollas of which, from A comes a symbolic round disc of a moon on each. All the floors on the bottom and ceilings on top of this palace, exquisite beyond measure, are black in the east, red in the south, white in the north, yellow in the west and blue in the center.

Outside this symbolic world and up till it reaches the strip of encircling earth is an offering grounds, brimming with innumerable offering items such as lotuses, vases and so forth. Beyond this, it is surrounded by the four great encircling strips of earth, water, fire and wind. Above the earth strip, from the powerful direction, from an OM comes a rising full moon, while in the truthless direction, from an A: comes a setting symbolic sun disc. In the center between the fire and wind encircling strips are the eight great grounds for disposing of corpses. Outside the wind, in the encircling space strip is a fence of diamond-strong scepters, and outside that, it is surrounded with blazing rays of light.

Generation of the Principal Father and Mothers from the Five Precursors to Enlightenment

In the very center, on top of the moon, sun, "growler" and "fire-of-time" planets, comes a symbolic disc of a full moon, on top of which are arranged in one line A-I RI-U-LI, A-E AR-O-AL, HA-YA RA-VA-LA AM coiled round to the left and LAA-VAA RAA-YAA-HAA, AAL-AU AAR-AI-AA, LII-UU RII-II-AA-A: coiled round to the right. This symbolic moon disc marked with thirty-two vowels in the nature of the thirty-two signs like this is a mirror-like deep awareness. Beneath it, comes a symbolic disc of a sun, on top of which are arranged in one line LMLMA-VMVMA YMYMA-LRLRA-LHRLHRA, LLA-VVA RRA-YYA-HHA, SSA-:P:PA SHRSHRA-SHSHA-:K:KA, TTA-THTHA DDA-DHDHA-NNA, PPA-PHPHA BBA-BHBHA-MMA, TRTRA-THRTHRA DRDRA-DHRDHRA-NRNRA, CHCHA-CHHCHHA JJA-JHJHA-NYNYA, KKA-KHKHA GGA-GHGHA-NGNGA coiled round to the right and NGA-GHA GA-KHA-KA, NYA-JHA JA-CHA-CA, NRA-DHRA DRA-THRA-TRA, MA-BHA BA-PHA-PA, NA-DHA DA-THA-TA, :KA-SHA SHRA-:PA-SA, HA-YA RA-VA-LA, LHRA-LRA YMA-VMA-LMA: coiled round to the left. This symbolic sun disc marked with eighty consonants in the nature of the eighty exemplary features like this is the deep awareness of the equality of things. In the center of the moon come a syllable HUM... [as in Abbreviated Nine-Deity Kalacakra Sadhana – 1985 Translation] ...and stand in the posture of legs together.

In the four corners, in the powerful one, from an OM comes a white ceremonial conch. In the truthless one, from an A: comes a red ceremonial gandi, a wooden sounding-block. In the fire one, from HUM comes a black wish-granting gem; and in the wind directions, from a HO comes a yellow wish-granting tree.

Generation of the Other Figures of the Symbolic World

Seeing with foresight... [as in Abbreviated Nine-Deity Kalacakra Sadhana – 1985 Translation] ... By the sounds of our consummate joy, the deities such as Imperturbable Akshobhya and so on, who are of the self-nature of the aggregate factors, elemental sources, sensors and objects, but appearing in their own nature as deities, come to infuse the aggregate factors, elemental sources and cognitive stimulators of my own body. Then from my body these hosts of deities are emanated back out and settle... [as in Abbreviated Nine-Deity Kalacakra Sadhana – 1985 Translation] ... By the sounds of our consummate joy, the deities such as Imperturbable Akshobhya and so on, who are of the self-nature of the aggregate factors, elemental sources, sensors and objects, but appearing in their own nature as deities, come to infuse the aggregate factors, elemental sources and cognitive stimulators of my own body. Then from my body these hosts of deities are emanated back out and settle... [as in Abbreviated Nine-Deity Kalacakra Sadhana – 1985 Translation] ...to become inseparable from the Mother of Diversity.

From I and II, then swords, come an Amoghasiddhi, an Actualizer of What Has Meaning, and a Tara, a Lady Who Frees, black and embraced by a Lochana, a Lady of Eyes, and a Vairochana, an Illuminator of Appearances. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats in the east and southeast of the blissfully transformed ones' veranda.

From RI and RII, then jewels, come a Ratnasambhava, an Origin of Jewels, and a Pandaravasin, Lady of White Clothes, red and embraced by a Mamaki, a Lady of Mine, and an Amitabha, Immeasurable Light. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats in the south and southwest.

From U and UU, then lotuses, come an Immeasurable Light and a Lady of Mine, white and embraced by a Lady of White Clothes and an Origin of Jewels. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats in the north and northeast.

From LI and LII, then wheels, come an Illuminator of Appearances and a Lady of Eyes, yellow and embraced by a Lady Who Frees and an Actualizer of What Has Meaning. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats in the west and northwest. The faces of all of these transformed ones each has three eyes, while they sit in the diamond-strong scepter posture, embraced by their motherly partner in the lotus posture. The transformed ladies sit in the lotus posture, embraced by their fatherly partner in diamond-strong posture.

In the compartments to the right and the left of the four blissfully transformed, in the east from HI and HII come two vases of purified marrow, in the south from HRI and HRII two vases of purified blood, in the north from HU and HUU two vases of purified pungent urine, in the west from HLI and HLII two vases of purified most pungent feces, and on the top and the bottom from HAM and HA: two vases of purified semen and menstrual specks, with each of these resting on a lotus seat and adorned at its mouth with a lotus.

From YAM, then a sword, comes a Vighnantaka, a Terminator of Hindrances, black and embraced by, arising from LAA:, then a wheel, a yellow Stambhini, a Lady Who Makes You Stiffen. They are emanated forth and settle on their seat in the eastern doorway.

From RAM, then a jewel, comes a Prajnantaka, a Terminator with Discriminating Awareness, red and embraced by, arising from VAA:, then a lotus, a white Manani, a Lady Who Makes You Puffed-Up. They are emanated forth and settle on their seat in the southern doorway.

From VAM, then a lotus, comes a Padmantaka, a Terminator with a Lotus, white and embraced by, arising from RAA:, then a jewel, a red Stobhini, a Lady Who Makes You Muddleheaded. They are emanated forth and settle on their seat in the northern doorway.

From LAM, then a wheel, comes a Yamantaka, a Terminator of the Lord of Death, yellow and embraced by, arising from YAA:, then a sword, a black Ativirya, a Lady Who Makes You Overexcited. They are emanated forth and settle on their seat in the western doorway.

From HAM, then a diamond-strong scepter, comes an Ushnisha, a Possessor of a Crown-Protrusion, green and embraced by, arising from AH:, then a cleaver, an Atinila, a Deep Indigo Lady, holding in her right hands a cleaver and a diamond-strong scepter, and in her left a skullcup and bell. They are emanated forth and settle on their seat above.

From HA, then a diamond-strong trident comes a Sumbha, a Handsome Causer of Harm, blue and embraced by, arising from HAA, then an axe, a green Raudrakshi, a Lady with Forceful Eyes, holding in her right hands an axe and a trident, and in her left a snake lasso and a symbolic "couch leg" staff. They are emanated forth and settle on their seat below. All these wrathful fathers and mothers have orange hair standing on end and are adorned with snakes and the six ornamental seals. The faces of each of them have three eyes each. The wrathful ones are standing with their right leg outstretched, embraced by their motherly consorts with left leg outstretched.

From E and AI, then swords, come a Khagarbha, an Essence of Space, and a Sparshavajra, a Lady Diamond-Strong Tactile Sensations, black and embraced by a Gandhavajra, a Lady Diamond-Strong Smells, and a Sarvanivarana-viskambhini, a Depleter of Impediments. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats to the right of the eastern doorway and in the fire corner.

From AR and AAR, then jewels, come a Kshitigarbha, an Essence of Earth, and a Rasavajra, a Lady Diamond-Strong Tastes, red and embraced by a Rupavajra, a Lady Diamond-Strong Sights, and a Lokeshvara, One with a Wealth and Control over What Is Perishably Based. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats to the right of the southern doorway and in the truthless corner.

From O and AU, then lotuses, come One with a Wealth and Control over What Is Perishably Based and a Lady Diamond-Strong Sights, white and embraced by a Lady Diamond-Strong Tastes and an Essence of Earth. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats to the right of the northern doorway and in the powerful corner.

From AL and AAL, then wheels, come a Depleter of Impediments and a Lady Diamond-Strong Smells, yellow and embraced by a Lady Diamond-Strong Tactile Sensations and an Essence of Space. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats to the right of the western doorway and in the wind corner.

From A and AA, then diamond-strong scepter, come a Vajrapani, One with a Diamond-Strong Scepter in Hand, and a Dharmadhatu-vajra, a Lady Diamond-Strong Sphere of Reality, green and embraced by a Shabdavajra, a Lady Diamond-Strong Sounds, and a Samantabhadra, Totally Excellent One. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats to the left of the southern doorway and the left of the western doorway.

From AM and A:, then diamond- strong scepters, come a Totally Excellent One and a Lady Diamond-Strong Sounds, blue and embraced by a Lady Diamond-Strong Sphere of Reality and One with a Diamond-Strong Scepter in Hand. They are emanated forth and settle on their seats to the left of the eastern doorway and the left of the northern doorway.

The Actualizers of What Has Meaning, the Ladies Who Free, the Terminators of Hindrances, the Ladies Who Make You Overexcited, the Essences of Space and the Ladies Diamond-Strong Tactile Sensations all have three faces, black, red and white, and six arms, holding in their right hands a sword, a cleaver and trident, and in their left a shield, a skullcup and a white symbolic "couch leg" staff.

The Origins of Jewels, the Ladies of White Clothes, the Terminators with Discriminating Awareness, the Ladies Who Make You Muddleheaded, the Essences of Earth and the Ladies Diamond-Strong Tastes all have three faces, red, white and black, and six arms, holding in their right hands fire arrows, a diamond-strong hook and a hand-drum replete with its sound, and in their left a bow, a diamond-strong lasso and a nine-faceted jewel.

The Immeasurable Lights, the Ladies of Mine, the Terminators with a Lotus, the Ladies Who Make You Puffed-Up, the Ones with a Wealth and Control over What Is Perishably Based and the Ladies Diamond-Strong Sights all have three faces, white, black and red, and six arms, holding in their right hands a hammer, a spear and trident, and in their left a white hundred-petaled lotus, a mirror and a garland of counters.

The Illuminators of Appearances, the Ladies of Clear Evolved Eyes, the Terminators of the Lord of Death, the Ladies Who Make You Stiffen, the Depleters of Impediments and the Ladies Diamond-Strong Smells all have three faces, yellow, white and black and six arms, holding in their right hands a wheel, a staff and a terrifying diamond-strong scepter, and in their left a conch, a diamond-strong iron chain and a bell replete with its sound.
