Berzin Archives on Your Mobile Device
This web site will work well with many recent internet phones and organizers. There are two mobile versions of the Berzin Archives:
- Regular
web site version:
No special web site address is needed. Just visit www.berzinarchives.com with your mobile device. If your device is powerful enough, the web site will automatically adjust to your screen size. - S
implified version:
Visit www.berzinarchives.com/text instead, if the regular web site is displayed incorrectly or causes other problems on your device. You may also want to use this version, if your mobile internet connection is too slow for the regular version.
Recommended mobile web browsers
Not all internet-capable devices ship with optimal display capabilities for web pages. Therefore, you may need to install an improved web browser. Since some of our pages contain a large amount of text, you may even need to install an improved web browser before being able to view the simplified web site version.
We recommend the following mobile browsers, depending on the type of internet device that you have:
-
Apple iPhone/iPod touch, Google Android devices.
With these phones, the web-site will work without installing any additional software. -
Nokia S60 and Windows Mobile smart phones and organizers.
Some recent Nokia devices may already have a very capable internet browser installed. In that case, berzinarchives.com should "just work" for you. However, for other models or for devices that use Windows Mobile, you will need to install an additional web browser to get an adequate internet experience.
For more powerful smart phones it is recommended that you use the Opera Mobile browser, which is available for a wide range of Nokia and Windows Mobile smart phones. This browser can be purchased for a small fee from www.opera.com/mobile/download/. You can also try Opera Mobile for a limited amount of time, without having to buy it beforehand. The download page will list the devices that are supported. Installation and use of Opera Mobile are described at: www.opera.com/mobile/tutorials/.
If your Phone supports Java, then alternatively you can also use the slighly less powerful but freely available Opera Mini browser instead (see below). -
Most Java-Enabled mobile devices (including most devices from Nokia, Samsung,
Motorola, LG, and Sony Ericsson, as well as some Blackberry organizers).
For Phones that support Java, it is recommended that you install the excellent Opera Mini browser, which runs on most modern internet-capable phones. This browser is free of charge and can be downloaded from www.opera.com/mini/. Documentation is available from www.opera.com/mini/help/.
Because of the large variety of phone models, we can only give general recommendations here.
For information on how to install programs on your phone or connect to the internet, please
carefully consult the documentation that comes with your device as well as the documentation of the
program you want to install. Please understand that we cannot answer questions that are related to
your specific device.
